DNR Wants YOU!
Did you know that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has an awards program? To honor Scouts who make a commitment to participating with the DNR in stewardship of Michigan's natural resources, a Conservation Stewardship Award has been created. By completing activities and other Scout achievements and providing conservation stewardship service hours through the DNR, younger Scouts can earn a Conservation Stewardship patch and older Scouts are eligible to earn a Stewardship medal. Older Scouts are also eligible to receive pins to attach to the medal after completing additional achievements and stewardship hours. CLICK HERE for more information.
In addition, the DNR has requested that troops and packs involved with a conservation project share their actions on the DNRwebsite. We have created a site specifically to highlight conservation projects. These do not have to be related to work on the DNR award, but can be any conservation project you have completed. Go to the "Share your Project" portion of the Scout page.
