Troop 86’s yearly dues are $110.00 per Scout.

We arrived at this figure based on what it costs to maintain the troop expenses other than those associated with outings and activities outside of the Troop meeting. These expenses include National registration and Hudson Valley Council fees, insurance, rank advancement, merit badges, Courts of Honor, etc. The campouts and any other Troop activity are on a “pay as you go” basis.

The Troop also has several voluntary fundraising activities, such as candy and Trail's End Popcorn Sales. One hundred percent of the profit earned by a Scout from these sales goes directly into his individual account. Simply, the more fundraising a Scout participates in, the fewer expenses he will have. A Scout can earn enough in this way to pay for all of his activities, including summer camp, if he chooses to do so. It is entirely up to him.
