The Ad Altare Dei (“To The Altar of God”) program is designed to help scouts grow in their relationship to God and to the Church. It is open to all Catholic scouts who have completed 6th grade. Through reading, discussion, and service, the program explores the meaning and value of the seven Sacraments and their impact on daily life. There is some study involved, but the classes are fun too! The following link provides more information: http://www.nccs-bsa.org/emblems/AdAltareDei.php. Classes will be on Monday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Monica School before troop meetings. The program will conclude before Christmas, and scouts will receive their medals from the Archbishop at the Cathedral on February 9, 2014. If a scout is interested in participating or if there are any questions about the program, please contact Mr. Isakson at eisakson@comcast.net or Mr. Brun at jaybrun@rocketmail.com prior to August 15th.
