Our troop has camping opportunities 12 months out of the year. The camping trips provide a great opportunity for the scouts to practice their leadership skills in an outdoor environment. Many rank advancement requirements can be met on these trips! Please see the packing list links below to "BE PREPARED" for your next camping trip.
Troop 323 Departure Procedure
All camping trips will leave from the Troop Room (BIG green building in the parking lot directly east of St. Wenceslaus Church. Door is on the east side of the building). Scouts will meet at the Troop Room at 5:00 p.m. on the Friday of the campout and everyone will help load the trailer. One patrol box is needed for every 6 scouts. Once the trailer is packed, the Senior Patrol Leader will take attendance and the group will depart by 5:30 p.m.
Troop 323 Return Procedure
Most camping trips will return by mid-morning on Sunday to allow scouts to attend church with their families. If the return time is going to be later in the day on Sunday, the scouts will find a church on their way home to attend. Upon returning to the troop room, ALL scouts will help unpack the trailer and equipment will be checked out to scouts to take home and properly clean. Clean equipment can be returned at a troop meeting on Monday nights. All equipment must be returned by the next campout!
