From Points Southeast:
From the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) take I-795 (Northwest Expressway) toward Reisterstown, Westminster. It blends into MD Rt. 140 West. Turn left at MD Rt.91 (traffic light) (South). Travel on 91 to the next traffic light which is Deer Park Road. Travel 2.7 miles to the site on your left. See detailed directions below.
From Points Southwest:
Use MD Rt. 32 North. Travel through Sykesville and Gamber. Turn right on Bird View Road. (Bird View Road is approximately 2.2 miles North from the intersection of MD 32 and MD 91(the traffic light in Gamber). Travel on Bird View Rd to the dead end which is Deer Park Road. Turn right on Deer Park Rd. The site is approximately 500 feet on your right. See the detailed directions below.

From the intersection of MD Rt. 32 and Deer Park Road:
Travel East on Deer Park Road approximately 1.8 miles. You will pass Bird View Road on your left. If you reach Green Mill Road, you have gone too far. Entrance to the site is just past the property address 1401 Deer Park Road, but before 1431 Deer Park Road on the right. Entrance road is landmarked by a red barn and a sign is used during events. Parking will be to the rear of the barn. No vehicles in the campsite.
From the intersection of Route 91 and Deer Park Road:
Travel West approximately 2.7 miles. You will pass Green Mill Road on your right. Slow down. The entrance to the parking area is on your left ON THE TURN about 200 feet past Green Mill Rd. If you pass Bird View Road you have gone too far. Entrance to the site is just past the property address 1401 Deer Park Road, but before 1431 Deer Park Road on the right. Entrance road is landmarked by a red barn and a sign is used during events. Parking will be to the rear of the barn. No vehicles in the campsite.
PARKING:
On arrival you will be greeted by Scouts/Scouters. Parking will be to the rear of the barn. Do not attempt to drive into the campground. If you genuinely need assistance from the parking area to the campground with your gear, or yourself, please ask and someone will help you.
Please carpool if possible and be aware that Deer Park Road is busy and it will be dark when you arrive. The walk to the site is about 1000 feet off of the road. A shuttle for individuals with difficulty walking is available. Bring chairs as needed and flashlights to navigate with.
Note: Camping at Eastview is primitive by definition. Although the site is established and maintained for use by Scouts and Scouters on privately owned property, there is no electricity, running water (except the stream) and no flush toilets (just “porta-pots”). All visitors are expected to exercise their duties concerning outdoor ethics and the principles of “Leave No Trace”.
