Troop 86
Boy Scouts of America, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan
We Invite You to Join Us in the Adventure of Scouting
Troop 86 provides an active, creative and supportive environment for learning, advancement and lots of fun. We want you to become a part of this. Come join Troop 86 and make it your new home for Scouting. Our Troop has been continuously Scouting for over 85 years! Many of our Scouts are from Brownell and Pierce Middle School, and have come from Packs at Defer, Maire, Richard, and Trombly, but we welcome everyone - not only Cubs moving up but also boys looking to discover the Scouting experience. We encourage you to come with your friends, as this Troop will grow with you.
Our activities include weekly meetings (Mondays, which include advancement, Scouting business, and games), sports, crafts, advancement programs, monthly trips/camping, and lots more. In the past twenty years, thirty-nine of our Scouts have earned their Eagle rank.
The BSA has recognized Troop 86 as a Journey to Excellence (JTE) Gold Level Unit. "Gold", signifying excellence, is the highest level of performance a Unit can earn! JTE is a measure of the Units performance in providing a quality program at all levels. All of our Leaders have successfully completed Scoutmaster Training!
