Boy Scout Troop 1887

Boy Scout Troop 1887 is an active part of Fairfax, Virginia.  The Troop was granted its charter from the Boy Scouts of America in 1980.  The American Legion Post 177 located at 3939 Oak Street, Fairfax, Virginia is our Chartering and Sponsoring Organization.


Troop 1887 is in the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) of the Boy Scouts of America.  The NCAC provides services and support to all Scouting Units of this area.  The NCAC has its offices on the corner of 9190 Rockville Pike and Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland.  The Council Telephone Number is (301) 214-9100.   The Council is divided into Districts with Troop 1887 in the George Mason District, which includes Fairfax City, Falls Church, Oakton, and Vienna.  Troop 1887 is a very active Troop by all standards and participates in many Council and District activities during the year, as well as traveling to more distant events.
