Welcome to the Lake County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post 2066
Law Enforcement exploring is a program sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America. The program allows members to learn firsthand about a career in law enforcement from actual members of the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the law enforcement community.
This program offers training, explorer details, and competitions at both the state and national levels.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the post, you must be 14-20 years of age, must be a Lake County resident, maintain a C average in school, have no criminal history, be drug/alcohol free.
Interest in law enforcement is preferred with the willingness to volunteer in law enforcement activities as needed, and you must commit to regular meetings twice a month.
This program is open to both male and females.
About Law Enforcement Exploring
Law Enforcement Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women who have completed the 6th grade through 20 years old and are interested in a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.
The program offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition,and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness,good citizenship and patriotism.
