Scouts BSA Troop 1148 for Girls is an all-female Scout Troop chartered by St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4201 W. Third St. in Bloomington, Indiana. The Troop meets every Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Paul, except on Monroe County Community School Corporation school breaks, or when school is cancelled due to inclement weather. The Troop does meet during the summer months.
Troop 1148's vision is to offer a program that lives up to the promise of all that Scouting can be.
Girls between the ages of 11 and 17 years are warmly welcomed and invited to attend a Troop meeting, meet the other Scouts, and discover what Scouting is all about. Troop 1148 is an active Troop that holds at least one camping trip or outdoor-related activity every month. We participate in the annual Scout Popcorn Sale fundraiser, a week-long summer camp at Maumee Scout Reservation in June, in Scout Sunday every February, and in numerous other service projects, merit badge fairs, and other outings.
The Troop has openings for a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in 2020. If you're looking for high adventure in the form of Pamlico Sea Base, Boundary Waters, or Philmont, Troop 1148 is a great fit for you!
